Odds are Gingrich will win in South Carolina (which likes the old frumious bandersnatch) but it still looks like Romney’s nomination to lose:

Newt Gingrich’s presidential candidacy is on the upswing in South Carolina, if Intrade, a popular online market for political bets, is any indication.
Mr. Gingrich’s chances of winning the primary jumped to 66 percent on Jan. 20, from 7 percent on Jan. 18.
Looks like the GOP is committed to being a house divided: conservatives don’t trust Romney, but I doubt that tyhe all important swing vote among independents will accept Gingrich. Looks good for Obama.
